farnese pavillion, palatine hill. dan and i took a quick detour up this way while mom and dad waited in the forum. we didn't get to see very much, but there was a pretty great view of the forum.
palatine hill is one of the seven great hills of rome. this hill is where romulus and remus were brought up by a she wolf in a cave, according to legend. later it's where the emperors of rome built their palaces.
