also, another quick post. . . .

with the summer season coming very soon. . i thought i'd share some pictures from last season, and no, no more sheep. . . actual production photos. . . ready?

here's 'la belle helene' . . . i got to run this show from backstage, including the pyro sequence.

then there was 'cosi fan tutti'. . . this was one of my shows off, so i got to actually see it from the audience once. the first act was a little boring, the set didn't change till almost 2/3rds of the way through the show. . . but when it did, it was beautiful.. ..

third was 'intermezzo'. . . where there was far too much changing of scenery. i was glad not to be a part of it, but this was also i show i ran from backstage. . . . it was rather boring i thought, but it gave me and my crew a chance to watch a handful of movies between scenes. . ..

fouth was 'katya kabanova'. . . . i ran the lightboard for the show, and i think it was one of the more beautiful shows. duane schuler was the lighting designer, and though i knew he was really great, i didn't think i had a chance to see what he could do till this show. it was really stark, and the set was amazing . . . and because i loved the look of it so much. . . i'm gonna load up 2 pictures. . . .

the last show of our season is usually a new piece, and somewhat experiemental. this was 'madame mao' last year. rick fisher was the lighting designer, and he did a really wonderful job with the geometric set. i myself had a lot of fun making mao's portait glow, as well as the double ring of fluorescents on the floor, and the rings of cold cathodes (the neon looking stuff). . . thank god i didn't have to do it all alone! but there were some fun toys to play with. . .

and in a week, i'll be back to doing my electrician gig. . and i hope to have great pictures from this season.
